| How to help us There are many ways within our association to help the Bolivian people from the Altiplano; we are ready to listen to and look into any suggestion from people who want to get involved in the association. Whether you are an individual, a company or another association, you'll find here a few ways of contributing to our action. |
Sponsor a child | | | Cochabamba Child | We organize sponsorships with children from Cochabamba and Oruro. With 20 euros per month, you can help a child from a poor background to go to school, buy the school uniform, books and pens necessary for the class. The money from the sponsorship is managed by the main teachers from the schools with which we work, up to the 14 years of the child (minimum legal schooling age) and is given to the child once he/she has reached 14. About 50 kids are currently sponsored this way. The sponsors get regular news from the children, and they can write directly to them. The Ravasco school in Cochabamba has an Internet connexion, which makes communication between children and sponsors much easier. Still too many kids are not going to school and have to work to bring money home instead. Sponsorship is the best way to help solve this problem; it's also the simplest and most effective way of getting involved in Bolivia. |
| Participate in our events | | | Smiles and friendliness | We regularly organize exhibitions, sales or information meetings. By attending these events, you'll be able to know more about the progress of our projects, you'll meet people who are ready to answer your questions. You'll also be able to buy local crafts, quinoa, books that allow to finance our projects. Come and get to know us if you are interested in joining us on the field. |
| Finance our projects | We need money to finance our projects, a consistent amount of it often, as is the case for the Chipayas project. We are looking for patrons to finance our material needs. All the members of the association Point d'Appui are voluntary helpers and there are almost no management costs. We can guarantee that all of the money we receive is used to subsidize the project in which you want to get involved, and nothing else. Becoming a patron will allow you to improve your image: in 2001, the Priméal company granted funds for a computer project in a school; this was mentioned in their commercial documents. |
